Roberta got spotted by a model agent when she was 16 years old while shopping at a mall in her hometown. She never considered such a career but once that opportunity knocked she decided to give it a shot without knowing what was coming next. Roberta wasn’t really into glamorous life and fashion in fact she was more into sports and outdoor activities but she was fascinated by that glittery world that she ignored up to that day .Supported by her parents, she went to Milan the following day to have a meeting with her agency. Modeling was a part-time occupation since she was in high-school still. During summer time, while her classmates were enjoying their vacation, Roberta was experiencing her first modeling season. Roberta was featured for several years in Vogue Jewelery Italian Issue, among many other well known mags ,while she kept modeling for all major designers . While in Milan she started taking some camera classes – primarily commercial audition technique – and she really enjoyed it. Her teacher exhorted her to study acting since she saw in Roberta what it takes to be a great actress. She followed her teacher’s advice and as soon Roberta discovered acting she knew that was what she was meant to do. Once she found out that acting was what she really wanted to do move to Los Angeles was just the next step. Roberta is really ambitious ,competitive and always willing to test herself so she decided to go and pursue acting where the entertainment capital is : Los Angeles. She auditioned in London to be admitted at the “American Academy of Dramatic Arts” in June 2009 . Three weeks afterwards she received the acceptance letter and she moved to LA. Her acting technique improved a lot thanks to all the teachers she met at the Academy and especially thanks to Harvey Solin – her dear friend and mentor – former member of the Actors Studio. Cineplex Studios launches a new advertising division called, IntelAdvertising today.  We are very excited about this new venture as we focus on producing and airing commercials in over a million homes on Time Warner Cable TV in the Los Angeles area.   We were given the green light on this yesterday and have been granted access to upload commercials directly on the Time Warner server where they can be ‘on air’ in as little as 24 hours.

New Media Acting Spotlight on Savannah Ostler

Savannah Ostler as Kimberly Moore

Savannah Ostler will be playing the role of Kimberly Moore in the new trilogy series, ‘Forever Destiny‘.  This story takes place before the birth of her daughter, Destiny and the Journeys, as Kimberly Moore is studying to become a scientist.  We will get some new insights into the Kimberly character, as she deals with the moral and ethical issues of what she is attempting to do, before the Egyptian experiment went so wrong.

Here is the bio on Savannah to get to know her background before you see her in, ‘Forever Destiny’.

I have always known how to make a dramatic entrance even before I was born. I came into the world making my presence known 13 days late. Not wanting to compete with Jesus and his special day, I arrived December 26th…And of course not wanting to be “normal” and common, I decided to enter via Caesarian, purely for the dramatic appeal, of course. My mom was none too pleased, but hey, that’s show business.

As a small child, I always enjoyed the limelight, singing dancing, and to my chagrin, stripping down to my undies for more variety. Yes, there is video, and no, it will not be on You Tube.

I LOVE storytelling and actually become the characters at times. Typically, I had my years of teenage angst, even to the point of deciding to act like and dress like a boy, burping, spitting…you get the idea. Having no idea how to get out of the rut, one April Fool’s day, I dressed like a girly girl, pink blouse, make-up, pretty skirt, the whole works. If you could have seen the look on my friends’ faces! Well, that assured me that I had the talent to be a great actress and put my talents to good use.

I never give up and am dedicated to achieving my goal to become an actress. I try out for every part possible and am super-hard-working.. I always have my eyes on the prize. Nothing will ever stop me. I have always been extremely stubborn. I like to think it as one of my best qualities. J

You might have seen me in High School Musical as the girl in the hat behind Zac Efron on the bus or as the crazy girl in pink dancing in the cafeteria or outside by the cheerleaders. Or perhaps you have seen me waiting tables and barfing in the sequel to Donnie Darko, S: Darko. Or maybe you have even seen me in a few training videos at your workplace. Or maybe you saw me in an independent feature or short film. I assure you, the best is yet to come!

I am extremely driven, ambitious and focused. I am very determined, I never give up! I don’t care how hard it is, or how many odds are against me, I will find a way. Anything dream able is achievable.

I began studying the craft of acting at the age of 14. Each year, I have grown more and more passionate about the art. My amazing teacher, Anne Sward Hansen, has been coaching me every step along the way. Not only has she taught me how to be truthful in my performances, how to really get in the moment, and how to apply my imagination and to my work, she has also taught me how to be a better person.

There you have it, the story of me and what I am all about. If you should need me, I will be in my trailer.  That’s a wrap!

New Media Spotlight on ‘In Montauk’

Written by Lynda Clayton

Here is the question that has been confronting or even infuriating talented career women for eons.  What are you going to do about your career now that you’re pregnant?  That frustrating question is hard to hear when you are still stunned that there is a life growing inside you.

In Montauk’ is an independent feature film about life’s choices.  Choices are easier to make when they are logical.  Most men make just logical choices when it comes to their career.  However, women live through a deluge of emotional choices when faced with a pregnancy in the middle of a successful career.  ’In Montauk’ is a feature film story that confronts the gender equity challenge of our time.  Viewed through this lens is a new insight — a new dawning of the ethical implications of career versus motherhood.  It shows the emotional perspective of a woman’s decisions.  Pause for a moment and reflect on how many women you have known (including, perhaps yourself) who have faced this challenge.

The lead character, Julie Wagner (Nina Kaczorowski) is a professional photographer and she needs to make this choice. Add to this an emotional decision to have an affair.

The question is: What will she decide?

The answer may surprise you.

This film, ‘In Montauk’, makes us think beyond what will already be assumed.

The intrigue of ‘In Montauk’ and its authentic nature is why people are donating to help its release.  It takes more than just making a great film –it also takes funding to get it properly marketed and out into the public to be seen.  Authenticity is the best predictor of success and I predict this authentic film has the chance to be very successful.  Be a part of knowing you helped get ‘In Montauk’ seen by the millions of people who will empathize with it’s story.

Your tax deductible contribution to the fundraising campaign can be  made through Rockethub.com partnered with Fractured Atlas, the fiscal sponsor, so all donations are tax-deductible and there are rewards for contributing through the RocketHub campaign.  The campaign (http://rkthb.co/4344) ends on January 27, but tax-deductible contributions can be made after that directly through Fractured Atlas (https://www.fracturedatlas.org/site/contribute/donate/4239).

Fractured Atlas is a 501(c)(3) public charity; all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Fr Fractured Atlas.  Help social network this endeavor with your friends on facebook and twitter.

Greer Bishop

Greer Bishop who is currently cast as the character Delsoura in the upcoming sci-fi mini web series Forever Destiny.  You can check out her credits on IMDB.

Here is what people are saying about Greer Bishop.

“I had the fortune of working with Greer on the set of this highly ambitious indie film. Greer’s presence on our set during one of the busiest times of the shoot was refreshing and extremely helpful. She was always asking the right questions, and always stepping in at the perfect moment. She has a ton of knowledge and experience for her age, and combined with her winning attitude, I always had the sense that she will go far in this business, either behind or in front of the camera. Highly recommended.” September 12, 2011
